Director of Clinical Services
Licensed Co-Occurring Psychotherapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, EMDR Certified Therapist

I am a holistically oriented mental health therapist who believes in the Integrative Behavioral Health Model that includes the biochemistry of the body, the psychology of the mind, and the effervescence of the spirit. I have a Master’s in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Co-occurring Disorders (COD) both from Adler Graduate School. My perspective on the work we do together is supported by the trainings I have had and the therapeutic points of view of Dr. Henry Emmons, Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Peter Levine, and Dr. Sandra Paulsen, all of whom I refer to daily and to whom I am deeply grateful.

My interests include trauma informed care in complex PTSD using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Somatic Experiencing, plus other evidence-based body, mind, and energy practices that help move clients toward their best selves and away from decades of pain whether it shows up as depression, anxiety, despair, addiction, or inadequate relationships and confusion. I believe that individuals experience trauma-level stressors far more often than we acknowledge as a society and that we work very hard to distract, avoid and deny this for some long while, often using very creative ways to juggle the balance of our truth with our actions. When we have had enough of how it is affecting us, our choices, and our consequences, we might look for help. I hope to be one of your helpers when you are ready.

Living and working in many areas (California, New York, Baja Mexico) has added richness to my respect for all our complexities and for the power of the Narrative that we tell ourselves in the connection to our past. I enjoy working both with individuals and groups as they process their experiences. Always I am passionate about honoring individuals in their context, where they have come from and where they are going while encouraging them and when called for, suggesting supportive alternative and complementary modalities for their individualized care plan. Together we walk your path to change at the speed and in the direction that you choose.

Contact me if you would like to schedule an appointment and begin your journey of discovery.
