Life is such an incredible journey that continues to surprise me. It can be so difficult and full of such beauty at the same time. I’m passionate about helping people navigate those ups and downs, explore relationship patterns, create community, and heal from the inside out. I believe that we are all capable of deep, internal change. I also believe that sometimes we use maladaptive methods of coping through life’s difficult moments. We don’t have to change everything about ourselves to grow, gain perspective, and live a more fulfilling life. We just need the right tools and a little help along the way.
I graduated with my Master’s in Co-Occurring Disorders from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. I focus on building a safe and respectful connection with my clients. In our work together I may often pull from EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) techniques. I embrace creative elements in my work with children, and when the weather is right, I love utilizing nature to give new language to our experiences.
I’m passionate about parenting, attachment, and how our childhoods shape the way we interact with the world around us. I believe our physical bodies hold the key to much of our mental and spiritual experiences, and learning to hold valuable space for all the parts of us—even the scary ones—is the work I hold dearest.
I value working with individuals and families navigating addiction and the impact on the family system. I have experience in both residential and outpatient treatment settings, moderation management for alcohol use, as well as twelve-step and abstinence-based work. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to chemical dependency treatment. Everybody is unique, and everybody’s path to healing will look a little bit different. I enjoy helping clients explore their relationship with substances in a non-judgmental, growth-minded space.
When I’m not working, I love to cook, create, exercise, enjoy live music, eat good food, and spend time with my husband and three young children. Life is still a roller coaster, and I’m committed to my own internal growth. It’s an honor to do “the work.”
