Master of Science, Pre-Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, EMDR Trained Therapist

I believe that every individual has unique strengths and capabilities that can be tapped into to overcome challenges. I view distress as a normal part of the human experience and believe that it is through facing and working through difficult emotions that leads to true growth and healing.

I have a deep appreciation for the idea that our experiences shape who we are, and I am passionate about helping clients explore and make sense of their past to better understand themselves and move forward in a healthy way. I find great fulfillment in assisting clients in tapping into their own resiliency and finding inner strength to navigate life’s ups and downs.

Employing a holistic approach that emphasizes the mind-body-spirit connection, I offer traditional talk therapy blended with tailored techniques drawn from modalities such as Attachment theory, CBT, DBT, Person-Centered therapy, Multicultural approaches, Polyvagal theory, and ACT. Additionally, I practice EMDR to help assist clients in healing from trauma. I aim to create a safe, culturally sensitive, and supportive therapeutic space where clients can explore, heal, and grow.

I am passionate about many topics in the mental health space, such as attachment and relational issues, healing from trauma, helping people get out of fight or flight mode, somatic work (helping people become more in tune with their body), anxiety, depression, and disordered eating. I also love to work with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent populations. I have a special passion for working with neurodivergent women who were late diagnosed or misdiagnosed and are looking to learn about and cope with their diagnosis.

Although I tailor my therapeutic approach to each person’s individual needs, some things I like to incorporate into session are coping and communication skills, nervous system regulation techniques, understanding how self-talk impacts mental health, exploring the impact of relationships on well-being, and cultivating self-compassion.

When not in session, I enjoy hiking, traveling, baking, playing with my 2 orange cats, crafting, gardening, and spending time with my loved ones.
