Three words to describe my style of therapy are positive, connected, and creative. I believe in a strength-based approach. Striving to meet my clients where they are, I use everything at my disposal to assist in navigating through struggles. My goal is to understand who you are and use the talents you have to build skills strong enough to carry you through difficult times in life.
I use a blend of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy in my sessions. I have experience working with adults for individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, individuals on pretrial, and post-trial criminal sentences. My specialties include those involved in criminal diversion programs, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, major depression, personality disorders, and trauma. I have worked in private practice, community mental health, nonprofit, and government sectors.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, cooking, downhill skiing, woodworking, and spending time with friends and family. I love learning new things and exploring what the world has to offer.
