Accelerated Resolution Therapy was developed in 2008 by Laney Rosenzweig. Its primary application has been for treating symptoms resulting from a traumatic experience. Accelerated Resolution Therapy also known as ART, is a combination of evidence-based treatments. ART utilizes eye movements with a practice known as voluntary image replacement. ART is unique in the sense that the individual does the therapy in their own mind and gets to choose how much of the trauma they would like to discuss or disclose to the clinician. Many individuals find relief from trauma symptom after a few sessions.
