Thank you for coming to my page! Before entering the field of Mental Health Therapy, I lived and breathed art ~ I obtained a Master of Arts in Painting and Drawing at the University of Minnesota, 2007. As a therapist, I love working with other artists & creatives, implementing expressive and imaginative approaches to the therapeutic process. My Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health is from Adler Graduate School, 2020. This Adlerian training means that I consider all human complexity from a holistic point of view. A holistic perspective embraces the interconnections between the body, the mind, and the spirit. All our behaviors and symptoms have a purpose. My therapeutic style is best described as direct yet compassionate, with a holistic and systems-view lens perspective.
I am also a Mom who loves working with other mothers and women as they navigate the challenges of parenting, post-partum concerns, divorce, pregnancy loss, and the emotional impact of fertility issues. All of this is designed toward finding meaning and purpose outside of our role as a mother.
My personal experiences have informed my additional strength of working with First Generation Immigrants – children, teens, and adults as they navigate the complexities of immigration, the acculturation process, and cultural identity. I am originally from former Soviet Bulgaria and immigrated to Minnesota 20 years ago. This means that I can conduct therapy in English and Bulgarian and have rich life experiences that I bring to our work in therapy with clients of all ages. I continue to be inspired by the healing power of human connection in the therapeutic process.
I look forward to hearing from you and starting your journey of self-discovery and healing.
